Real Madrid made an attempt for Barcelona sensation Munir El Haddadi last season, it has been revealed.
El Haddadi has been a revelation in the early weeks of the new campaign, scoring on his debut and being called into the senior Spain squad last week.
Sport says Real, aware El Haddadi's deal was expiring in June, made contact with intermediaries connected to the teenager's camp.
However, Munir turned down the approach and penned new terms in February.
It's now emerged that Arsenal and Chelsea are sounding out his camp about moving to England. Munir's contract carries a €12 million buyout clause and both English giants are prepared to meet the price to ferry him away from Barca.
